Job summary

Spire Claremont Hospital in Sheffield is seeking a Perioperative Practitioner on a permanent, full-time basis. You will join a warm Theatre team, supporting in recovery and scrubbing across spinal, gynae, urology, plastics and minor ortho.

The role is 37.5 hours per week with Saturday shifts and future on-call duties, offering a competitive salary and extensive benefits. Spire Healthcare est. 1953, dedicated to quality patient care.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered ODP or NMC registered nurse with no restrictions.
• Spinal experience preferred.
• Gynae, urology and minor orthopaedics experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in the management and organisation of care in the operating theatre.
• Prepare the anaesthetic room with equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Ensure patient records are completed accurately and promptly.
• Perform anaesthetic duties across a range of specialties.
• Assess patients' health and wellbeing across a complex caseload.
• Assist in delivering care in a busy department to meet patient needs.
• Prep recovery bays and care for patients after surgery.

Spire Claremont Hospitalhas an opportunity for a Perioperative Practitionerwith knowledge of Recovery and Scrubto join our warm and friendly Theatre team on a permanent basis

Our team work 37.5 hours per week and this will include Saturday shifts as well as an on call rota in the future

Spire Claremont Hospital has provided first-class independent healthcare at the heart of the South Yorkshire community since 1953. Our hospital is situated among beautifully landscaped grounds in Crosspool, Sheffield and it is situated 3 miles (about 20 minutes) to the south west of Sheffield city centre.

Claremont Hospital has 42 beds, three laminar flow theatres, 13 consulting rooms, a static MRI and CT scanner, and plain and digital X-ray. The hospital provides surgery and outpatients with diagnostic imaging services.

Duties and responsibilities:

• To provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre.
• Prepare the anaesthetic room for surgery in relation to equipment and supplies required for specific procedures.
• Ensure the Patient Record is completed in a timely and accurate way
• Perform anaesthetic duties across a range of specialties.
• Supporting in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload
• Assist in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs in an extremely busy department
• Prepping the recovery bays and of course, looking after patients after their surgery
• Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information
