Job summary

Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking a Scrub Nurse or ODP to join our high-performing theatre team. You will deliver perioperative care for orthopaedic procedures, working alongside experienced consultants and MDT in a private hospital setting.

You will scrub for orthopaedic surgeries such as joint replacements and arthroscopy, support the perioperative pathway, and help maintain safety and governance. A proactive, patient‑focussed professional with hospital theatre experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
• Experience working in theatre, ideally orthopaedics.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proactive, patient-focused approach and high clinical standards.
• Desirable orthopaedic scrub experience and private healthcare exposure.

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing for orthopaedic procedures (joint replacements, arthroscopy, minor cases).
• Support theatre team across the perioperative pathway.
• Prepare equipment and ensure theatres are safe and compliant.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and MDT.
• Contribute to clinical governance and continuous improvement.
• Support junior staff and foster a positive team culture.

Are you an experienced Theatre Practitioner with a passion for orthopaedics?

At Spire Leicester Hospital, we're looking for a Scrub Nurse or ODP to join our high-performing theatre team. You'll be part of a supportive environment delivering a wide range of orthopaedic procedures, working alongside experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality perioperative care, including:

• Scrubbing for a range of orthopaedic procedures (e.g. joint replacements, arthroscopy, and minor procedures)
• Supporting the theatre team across the perioperative pathway
• Preparing equipment and ensuring theatres are safe and compliant
• Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and wider MDT
• Contributing to clinical quality, governance, and continuous improvement
• Supporting junior staff and contributing to a positive team culture

What We’re Looking For:
