Job summary

Spire Claremont Hospital in Sheffield is seeking a Bank Perioperative Practitioner to join the theatre team on a flexible bank basis. You will support consultant-led surgeries across orthopaedics, cosmetics, gynae and ENT, and assess patients’ health and wellbeing to develop appropriate perioperative care plans.

You must be an ODP or nurse registered with no restrictions (NMC/HCPC) and have prior surgical/theatre experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified ODP/Nurse.
• Orthopaedic experience.
• NMC or HCPC registered with no restrictions on your registration.
• Have been employed in a surgical/Theatre setting.
• You will be highly motivated and used to working in challenging but rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in theatre for consultant led surgeries that vary in complexity and specialism, such as orthopaedics, cosmetics, gynae and ENT to name a few.
• You will assess patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
• Develop care plans that are appropriate to the patient, taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks and their wellbeing.
