Job summary

National Grid in Birmingham is seeking a Performance Manager to lead the Performance Management Team, coordinating the Great Grid Partnership and Enterprise Performance Board with timely information and insights.

You will recruit and line-manage the team, oversee data capture, monthly reporting, and deliver performance packs to support senior decision-making, with on-site presence in Birmingham two days a week and some travel.

Qualifications

• Experience providing high-quality performance analysis and assurance within a programme/PMO environment.
• Ability to manage and lead teams, including virtual/remote networks.
• Knowledge of programme controls (schedule, cost, risk, reporting, change control).
• Awareness of Earned Value Management reporting metrics and data production methods.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and allocate team members to delivery projects.
• Line management of the Performance Team.
• Oversight and preparations for data in line with monthly reporting cycle for insights.
• Foster relationships with project teams.
• Deliver performance reporting packs and update cycles.
• Continual improvement as new requirements are rolled out across partner communities.
