Job summary

National Grid plc is seeking a Portfolio Analyst in Warwick with hybrid working. You will connect regulatory commitments, investment and delivery across Digital and OT portfolios, delivering an integrated view of performance for senior leadership.

You’ll drive the annual regulatory reporting cycle, establish a quarterly rhythm, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliable data and actionable insights. A degree in a relevant field is preferred and Power BI is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in portfolio, finance or delivery analysis, linking investment and delivery.
• Strong analytical skills with data from multiple sources to produce a clear view.
• Experience delivering high-quality reporting for senior stakeholders under fixed deadlines.
• Track record of improving reporting and analysis processes.
• Proficiency in Power BI to create dashboards and insights.
• Proficiency in Excel to reconcile and analyse complex datasets.
• Familiarity with portfolio tools such as ServiceNow SPM.
• Ability to influence across teams without formal authority.
• A degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Business/IT/Data/Finance/Engineering).
• Experience in regulated or externally assured environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Connect regulatory commitments, investment and delivery to provide a clear view of performance.
• Own the federated portfolio view and maintain data traceability across portfolios.
• Analyse trends, risks and divergences and provide actionable insights.
• Support governance forums and investment decision points with evidence-based analysis.
• Develop data products, reporting tooling and automation (Power BI, ServiceNow SPM).
• Collaborate with Finance, Regulation and Portfolio teams to ensure data reliability.
