Job summary

MSC UK is seeking an experienced HR People Advisor to join our busy People Relations team. You will support commercial areas with a mix of transactional work, projects and employee relations casework, delivering practical HR advice that enhances the People Experience.

The role requires strong employee relations experience, up-to-date knowledge of UK Employment Law, and the ability to work both independently and with a team while developing HR expertise.

Qualifications

• Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience is essential.
• Experience in HR employee relations and handling own case load with support.
• Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law and related legislation.
• Excellent organisational, communication and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality HR advice to supervisors and managers and ensure policies are applied.
• Handle HR related queries directly or signpost to team members; escalate where necessary.
• Translate employment law into practical people solutions aligned to group values.
• Deliver first-class employee relations including absence and performance management.
• Maintain and update people policies; ensure compliance with law.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders such as Occupational Health.
• Identify and implement improvements to support HR and broader People strategy.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
• Support delivery of toolbox talks and training to employees.
