Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Edinburgh, UK, seeks an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join the People team for six months, providing expert advice across ER matters and supporting policy development. You will manage a varied ER caseload and collaborate with managers and employee representatives to improve policies and practices.

The role focuses on complex ER case management, policy review and development, and delivering high-quality HR services with a pragmatic, evidence-based approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an employee relations or HR advisory role.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and ER best practice.
• Experience handling complex ER casework (discipline, grievance, attendance, performance).
• Experience developing, reviewing, implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Excellent written communication with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse information and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to build relationships at all levels.

Our client is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join a busy People team for 6 months, providing expert advice and support across a wide range of employee relations matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys balancing complex case management with policy development and continuous improvement initiatives. You will manage a varied portfolio of employee relations cases, ensuring matters are handled fairly, consistently, and in line with employment legislation and organisational policies. Alongside casework, you will play a key role in reviewing, developing, and implementing HR policies and procedures that support organisational goals and best practice. Working closely with managers, stakeholders, and employee representatives, you will provide pragmatic advice and contribute to a positive employee experience through effective people management practices.
