Job summary

British Film Institute (BFI) is seeking an experienced People Advisor on a fixed-term basis to deliver a responsive HR service across key business areas. You will partner with managers and employees through the full lifecycle, collaborating with the People and Culture teams to drive practical guidance and continuous improvement.

You will support probation, performance, leave, organisational change, and exits, coaching managers in employee relations and contributing to workforce planning and job

Qualifications

• Experience advising managers on employee relations and ER matters.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment laws and practical application.
• Strong communication and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice across the employee lifecycle, including probation and exits.
• Coach managers on employee relations with practical, solutions-focused guidance.
• Contribute to workforce planning, team structures, and pay grading.
• Deliver accurate HR processes and maintain employee records and HR systems.
• Create a positive employee experience and drive continuous improvements.
