Job summary

BDO UK LLP is seeking an HR Adviser to provide proactive, commercially focused HR support across Central Operations. You will work with managers and employees to deliver practical people solutions, coach on people matters, and collaborate with the wider People & Culture team to ensure a consistent colleague experience.

You will help navigate absence, performance, conduct, wellbeing and probation cases, contribute to governance, run talent reviews, and use data to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Previous HR Adviser or generalist HR experience.
• Experience in a professional services environment is useful but not essential.
• Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive HR support across Central Operations.
• Coach managers on people matters and governance.
• Navigate absence, performance, conduct, wellbeing and probation cases.
• Support HR processes including performance reviews and talent reviews.
• Analyze people data to inform decisions and drive improvements.
