Job summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced People Officer to join the People Team and deliver first line advice on policies and employment terms. You will handle staff enquiries, guide colleagues on procedures, and escalate complex queries where needed.

You will work with staff at all levels, prioritise your workload and communicate effectively to support a customer-focused service within the Trust, with a commitment to learning and improvement.

Qualifications

• RSA III/NVQ 3 in administration or CIPD Level 3 or equivalent.
• Proficient in word processing and in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Knowledge of HR procedures acquired through training and experience.
• Knowledge or experience of HR systems and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line advice on policies and terms and conditions of employment.
• Act as initial contact for staff enquiries across the Trust.
• Escalate complex matters to senior staff where appropriate.
• Coordinate a busy office environment with attention to detail.
• Produce meeting minutes, actions and agendas when required.
