Job summary

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fantastic team of People (HR) professionals based at Northumbria House, Cobalt Business Park in an People (HR) Advisor role. We are seeking a motivated and conscientious individual to work within our fast-paced Operational People (HR) Team.

This role is pivotal in supporting the provision of a high-quality People (HR) service that is focussed on supporting staff across the organisation to achieve outcomes in line with the vision and values of the Trust.

The posts will be based at Northumbria House, Cobalt Business Park, however the post holder will be required to work at other sites within the Trust on a regular basis. Ability to meet these travel requirement is therefore essential. Blended/flexible working is supported by the Trust.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful candidate will have an ability to communicate, negotiate and influence a range of managers and staff, have experience of analysing situations in order to advise on an appropriate course of action and an ability to organise their own workload to meet service needs and competing deadlines.

Applicants for the People (HR) Advisor position must have:

Degree in Human Resources or HR Knowledge acquired through relevant training and experience working in an HR environment to degree equivalent level

Experience working within an HR environment and supporting managers on a range of employee relations matters

A sound working knowledge of a range of policies and management procedures

It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role. However, the Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role.
