Job summary

Boots is seeking an Assistant Manager in the United Kingdom to lead a caring, high-performing store team on the shop floor and behind the scenes. You’ll coach staff, drive sales and patient care, ensure safe and compliant operations, and deliver excellent customer experiences daily.

The role focuses on people leadership, operational excellence and thriving in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. Opportunities for career progression exist across Boots stores and offices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a customer-facing environment.
• Ability to drive performance and deliver results.
• Inspire and coach others, and manage performance.
• Strong organisational skills including rota planning and workload prioritisation.]
• Experience working in a pharmacy, healthcare or regulated retail environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team to deliver strong performance while providing great care to customers and patients.
• Be responsible for day-to-day running of the store including planning, scheduling, staffing and prioritising workload.
• Maintain high standards across the store: clean, safe and easy to shop and compliant by audits and checks.
• Use data and reports to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
• Lead the store in the absence of the Store Leader and make operational decisions.
