Job summary

Juice Recruitment is seeking a People Advisor to join a busy, collaborative organisation in Gloucester. You will provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees, covering employee relations, absence, recruitment, onboarding and broader People projects.

Role focuses on building strong relationships across the organisation, supporting managers with grievances, investigations, absence meetings and risk assessments, while contributing to continuous improvement of HR processes and

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR, People Advisory or generalist HR role.
• Experience supporting employee relations and lifecycle processes.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative, approachable and customer-focused style.
• Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification/experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees across people activities.
• Support managers with grievances, disciplinary processes and performance improvement.
• Assist with investigations including evidence gathering and paperwork preparation.
• Manage sickness absence processes and support absence meetings.
• Coordinate Occupational Health referrals and risk assessments.
• Conduct exit and stay interviews and identify themes and trends.
• Support recruitment activity including agency and temporary workers.
• Quality check recruitment adverts and employee records.
• Support onboarding and safer recruitment compliance.
• Advise and support People Coordinators within the team.
• Contribute to People projects and process improvements.
• Identify potential risks and areas needing attention.
• Support Skilled Worker sponsorship activity and monitor sponsored employees.
• Work with the wider People team to deliver a consistent HR service.
