Job summary

Cactus Search is delighted to be supporting a growing, high-performing organisation in the appointment of an experienced HR Co-Ordinator to join their team in Cheltenham/Gloucester. This role covers the full employee lifecycle with pragmatic advice to managers and employees in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

You’ll contribute across absence, recruitment, policy development and payroll processes, delivering timely HR data and reports while maintaining discretion and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• 3+ years' practical experience in a generalist HR role.
• CIPD qualification, part qualification or equivalent relevant HR experience.
• Strong and current knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Experience managing a broad range of employee relations matters.
• Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Exposure to organisational change and change management.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with HR data and reporting.
• Experience using HRIS and payroll systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A confident, consultative approach with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills.
• Resilience and discretion when dealing with sensitive or complex situations.
• Experience supporting recruitment and talent acquisition.
• An understanding of performance management and employee development.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice across employee relations, including performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, restructures and redundancies.
• Advise managers and employees on family-friendly policies, including maternity and flexible working.
• Support effective absence management and return-to-work processes.
• Conduct exit interviews and use feedback and data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Support recruitment, interviewing and candidate assessment activity.
• Develop, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Support performance management and annual review processes.
• Research and introducing new HR initiatives and best practice.
• Produce regular HR reports and analysing people data.
• Support monthly payroll processes and ensuring HR data is accurate.
• Provide general HR administration and day-to-day support across the employee lifecycle.
