Job summary

Gloucestershire College is seeking an enthusiastic People Advisor to join our People team. You will provide practical People support and guidance to line managers and staff across employee relations, absence, recruitment and the employee lifecycle.

You'll work with colleagues across campuses (Gloucester, Cinderford, Cheltenham) on a variety of projects and activities, developing your knowledge in People Operations, Development, Payroll and Resourcing, while enjoying a supportive hybrid work

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive People Advisor to join our People team at Gloucestershire College. In this role, you'll provide practical People support and advice to line managers and employees across employee relations, absence, recruitment and the employee lifecycle. With a varied role and no two days likely to be the same, you'll have the opportunity to work with different teams, build relationships across the College and gain experience across a broad range of People activity. You'll be joining a diverse People team with expertise across People Operations, People Development, Payroll and Resourcing and this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn, broaden their experience and further develop their People career. You'll work alongside experienced People professionals, be supported to build your knowledge and confidence, and have opportunities to get involved in projects and areas of work beyond your day-to-day responsibilities. As we deliver our new Strategic Plan 2026-2030, you'll play an important role in supporting our people and helping managers create a positive employee experience across the College. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to People projects, develop your understanding of organisational priorities and see the impact of your work across a large and diverse organisation. The role is primarily based at our Gloucester campus, with some travel to our Cinderford and Cheltenham sites as required. We offer hybrid working, with up to two days per week from home.
