Job summary

Alexander Mae HR in the Gloucester area is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its HR team. This fast-paced generalist role offers practical HR advice across the business and close collaboration with managers and employees.

The role is based in Wotton-under-Edge with travel to other sites within about an hour. You will handle employee relations, coach managers, contribute to people initiatives, and produce HR reports.

Qualifications

• Proven HR generalist experience with strong employee relations knowledge.
• Experience advising managers and employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience handling ER cases independently and coaching managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support and practical advice to managers and staff.
• Act as first point of contact for ER, policy and people queries.
• Manage ER cases including absence, discipline, grievance, probation, and flexible working.
• Coach managers through HR processes and support performance conversations.
• Produce HR reports and analyse trends to inform decisions.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and career development activities.
