Location: Hybrid 2 – 3 days per week in Worthing with visits to other sites for meetings

Perm/FTC: 12 month FTC

Hours: 37 hrs

Salary: Up to £39,500 based on experience

Job Description

We are seeking a People Advisor to join our HR department at Southern Water. In this role, you will provide high-quality employee relations advice and guidance aligned with SW policy, best practices, and employment legislation. You will collaborate closely with line managers and key stakeholders to offer proactive, efficient advice, including identifying opportunities for improvement and coaching managers to enhance their capabilities.

Working with the People Hub and the Talent and Development team, you will help improve manager capabilities and support People Partners on complex employee relations cases such as restructures, TUPE, or potential dismissals.

Candidates should have a generalist HR background with a CIPD qualification or equivalent. You will act as the second line of defense for escalated HR queries and contribute to the continuous improvement of People systems and practices, including developing tools and templates for line managers to manage their teams effectively.

This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong planning skills, and the ability to build genuine, trust-based relationships at all levels of the organization.
