- Reporting to the People Partner, you will be responsible for providing HR advice and guidance on all aspects of an employee’s relationship and engagement for the site.
- Responsibility for managing two team members
- Support the operational team to manage employee relations cases efficiently and effectively to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Support and improve absence management at site level including the active management of welfare meetings and OH referrals.
- Manage sites Night Worker and MHE Operator health screening.
- Provide upward internal people reports for the site.
- Contribute to and develop reports and presentations for the site and wider business.
- Support with minute taking at Trade Union meetings and colleague forums.
- Represent the site People Team at meetings.
- Maintain accurate records for the department and adhere to GDPR.
- Provide support in progressing HR related projects and initiatives.
- Assist in managing change programmes throughout the business, where required.
- Support with sites’ end-to-end recruitment, ensuring compliance to internal policies and the selection of the most suitable candidates.
- To develop and maintain good working relationships with key customers.
- Oversee administration requirements are carried out timely, effectively, and accurately.
- Assist in the planning of site engagement and lead the team to carry out activities.
- To support the communication and feedback channels with all staff and through a variety of mechanisms to support employee engagement.
- To support with the learning and development at site.
Job Description
How will you contribute?

What will you bring?
- Qualified to CIPD Level 3 and working towards a CIPD Level 5
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience covering most of the above
- Good technical HR knowledge and understanding of current employment law/progressive HR practices
- Experience of working within a unionised environment.
- Ability to organise, plan and prioritise workloads, working under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build positive working relationships quickly, persuade influence and, when appropriate, challenge with tact and diplomacy.
- Experience in managing others and creating a strong team.
- A high level of personal integrity displaying values of respect and empathy for others
- Flexibility in working hours to support 24/7 operation and occasional travel to other locations.
- Knowledge and experience in Wellbeing, preferably a Mental Health First Aider
