As People Advisor, you’ll be right at the heart of our People team, advising managers and supporting our People Partners across a range of areas.

What’s the opportunity for a People Advisor at Gearset?- Take a proactive approach — we’re looking for someone who spots where they can add value and isn’t limited by what’s written down
- Be a trusted adviser to managers on performance and employee related issues
- Support People Partners with key requirements in their areas such as ER, talent management, reward etc
- Cover a broad range of areas, including performance development, inclusion, engagement, wellbeing, reward and recognition.
- Take on project work, including creating and maintaining policies that fit with Gearset and keep us compliant.
- Become a super user of our HR system (HiBob), driving improvements and streamlining processes.
- Collaborate with the People Coordinator to handle employee queries and provide advisory support.
- Support key projects such as salary benchmarking and review, talent management and complex contractual changes.
- Lead benefits renewals and maintain relationships with our HR system provider and benefits broker.
- Utilise data to enhance processes
What you’ll achieve- You’ll enhance the Gearset employee experience by guiding and developing managers to bring out the best in their teams
- Play a key role in making the People Team compliant, efficient and set up to scale
- Be part of nurturing our culture as we grow, embedding a people-first approach
About you- Full/part CIPD qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience
- Organised, meticulous and passionate about prioritising people over policies and keeping things simple in a fast paced environment
- Experience in handling a broad range of ER cases, including complex cases
- Comfortable and confident with navigating difficult conversations and decisions, with managers and individuals to support great outcomes for individuals and the business
- Comprehensive understanding of employment law and practised in applying this in a commercially sensible way in your advice
- HRIS experience including workflows, automation, data reporting and management
Nice to haves- Previous experience in the software/tech industry
- Experience working with HiBob
- Project management experience
Salary and benefits (the stuff you’d expect!)- Salary is £35-45k (depending on experience)
- This is a full time opportunity, working Monday to Friday with the option of flexible home working (for most of us that looks like 2-3 days a week in the office)
