Job summary

Alexander Lloyd is seeking an experienced Pensions Project Manager to lead large-scale delivery within a financial services client base in the UK. You will oversee end-to-end governance, budgets, and stakeholder engagement across multiple pension administration workstreams.

The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, leveraging Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and ensuring projects stay on time, scope, and cost targets. A strong background in pensions administration is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering change programmes within Financial Services.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience managing budgets, risks, and dependencies.
• Planning and delivery using JIRA or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects and workstreams using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through to closure.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource schedules.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain regular project updates.
• Run daily stand-ups, identify blockers, and drive issue resolution.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
• Track scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables using JIRA.
• Monitor project budgets and ensure effective cost control.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Maintain strong governance, reporting, and documentation standards.
• Promote project management best practice and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
