Job summary

Alexander Lloyd is partnering with a market-leading pensions consultancy to recruit a Principal Pensions Administrator. You will lead complex DB, DC and CARE cases, mentor junior staff and drive service excellence.

In this senior role you will manage workflow, provide technical escalation and ensure high-quality service to clients and trustees, while supporting governance and compliance. A strong pensions background, regulatory knowledge (HMRC, GDPR, The Pensions Regulator) and proven leadership

Qualifications

• Strong UK pensions administration experience across DB, DC and CARE schemes.
• Experience managing workloads, processes or team activities.
• Excellent technical pensions knowledge and understanding of current legislation.
• Client-focused approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements including HMRC, GDPR and The Pensions Regulator.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day team workflows and workload allocation.
• Serve as technical escalation point for complex pension queries.
• Deliver high-quality client and member service in line with service levels.
• Support quality checking and compliance processes.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Deputise for Team Leader when needed.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance development.
• Prepare and present service updates to clients and trustees.
• Monitor chargeability, time recording, invoicing and commercial performance.
