Job summary

IRIS Software Group is seeking a Client Pension Team Lead to head a Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) administration team within its Managed Services division. You will lead, coach and develop pension administration professionals, while ensuring service levels, quality standards and customer expectations are met.

You will oversee workload planning, KPIs and process improvements, collaborating with the Client Pension Manager on implementations and end-year activities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' pension administration experience, ideally within an Education environment.
• Strong knowledge of pension legislation and LGPS is highly advantageous.
• Experience leading, coaching or mentoring colleagues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and planning capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of pension administration professionals.
• Manage departmental KPIs, productivity measures and SLAs.
• Schedule and allocate workloads to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Monitor quality standards and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Act as the first point of escalation for client concerns and operational issues.
• Produce management reporting and operational performance insights.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and development of new team members.
• Ensure accurate and timely pension administration processing.
• Maintain strong understanding of pension legislation and industry developments.
• Support LGPS end-year activities and client service meetings.
