Job summary

IRIS Software Group in Manchester is seeking an experienced Client Pension Team Lead to manage LGPS pension administration for multiple clients. You will oversee performance, ensure service levels and drive improvements while collaborating with the Client Pension Manager.

The role requires leadership experience, pensions knowledge and strong stakeholder management, with an emphasis on accuracy, planning and people development.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' pension administration experience, ideally within an Education environment.
• Strong knowledge of pension legislation and LGPS highly advantageous.
• Experience leading, coaching or mentoring colleagues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and planning capability.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of pension administration professionals.
• Manage departmental KPIs, productivity measures and service level agreements.
• Schedule and allocate workloads to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Monitor quality standards and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Act as the first point of escalation for client concerns and operational issues.
• Produce management reporting and operational performance insights.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and development of new team members.
• Ensure accurate and timely pension administration processing.
• Maintain strong understanding of pension legislation and industry developments.
• Support LGPS end-of-year activities and client service meetings.
