Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Northampton is seeking an experienced Pensions Team Leader to manage a small team and oversee a varied DC/DB pension portfolio.

The role will drive governance, data accuracy, and system integration across payroll and pension providers, with a hands-on, collaboratorshi p-focused approach. The successful candidate will bring strong pensions expertise, stakeholder management skills, and a proactive mindset to continually improve pension service delivery in a hybrid working

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK pensions legislation including DC/DB and auto-enrolment compliance, with understanding of Pensions Regulator requirements.
• Experience in DC pension administration; exposure to DB schemes and public sector pensions desirable; APMI qualification or equivalent preferred.
• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail, numeracy and advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables).
• Effective communicator with stakeholder management skills and ability to interpret complex information and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day administration, governance and compliance of GXO's defined contribution arrangements, ensuring activities meet legislative requirements.
• Manage pension data, contributions, enrolment and re-enrolment processes with timely integration across payroll, MyBenefits and pension provider systems.
• Act as pensions lead for TUPE transfers and business change projects, reviewing pension obligations and supporting onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, payroll, HR and external providers to implement system enhancements and improve pension service delivery.
• Drive pension-related projects and cross-functional initiatives, providing expert guidance across the GXO Group.
