Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Paediatric Practice Education post holder to deliver ward-based education across the Paediatric unit. You will collaborate with the Practice Education team to identify staff development needs and develop competencies to support learners of varying registration and experience.

You will support training, ensure nursing standards, and promote best practice, while maintaining professional conduct and working with multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Current Professional Registration either RSCN, or RN Child
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• Practice assessor / Mentor and assessing qualification
• Study at level 6 (degree / diploma)
• Teaching and Assessing Qualification

Responsibilities

• Accountable for own actions in accordance with the code of Professional Conduct
• Participate in delivering training that drives professional development and is adapted to support specific groups of nurses
• Support nursing team to audit and evaluate nursing care
• Promote best practice in line with current paediatric national and local guidelines
• Promote best practice in ensuring NMC documentation Standards set out in the NMC Code
• Act as a clinical role model promoting the professional image of nursing within the Trust
