University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Paediatric Practice Educator to deliver ward-based education and training across the Paediatric unit, including Paediatric High Dependency. You will identify learning needs, develop competencies, and work with the Practice Education team to implement targeted programmes.

The post holder will provide ward-based education and training to support Registered Nurses, Registered Nursing Associates and Healthcare Support Workers across the Paediatric unit, including Paediatric High Dependency . The post holder will collaborate with the Paediatric Practice Education team to identify individual staff training needs, and the development of role specific competencies. The post holder will be responsible for developing and evaluating best practice within the ward areas alongside the Practice Education Team and Ward/Department Managers. The post-holder will work alongside the Practice Educators and Ward Managers to develop targeted clinical training programs and competencies to support learners of varying registration, qualifications, and clinical experience. This will include working closely with multidisciplinary teams to plan, facilitate and enable access to learning opportunities.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
