Job summary

Ashley Kate HR & Finance are recruiting a Payroll Administrator on a fixed‑term contract to support a major payroll project implementing Payroll Benefits in Kind (PBIK). The role is based in Solihull with hybrid working, full-time hours, and a salary of 27,000–33,000 DOE.

You will work with payroll and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, accurate calculations, and governance documentation throughout the implementation and transition to BAU.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll administration and knowledge of UK payroll legislation.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience supporting payroll projects or system implementations.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll project workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Document business requirements, process changes, actions, and decisions.
• Assist with payroll data analysis, validation, and reconciliations.
• Support SIT, Parallel Runs, and UAT testing and defect tracking.
• Validate payroll calculations and outputs for accuracy and compliance.
• Produce project governance reports and progress updates.
• Assist with training materials and business readiness activities.
• Facilitate smooth transition of deliverables into BAU processes.
