Job summary

Morson Group in Solihull is seeking a Payroll Administrator on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support a major PBIK implementation. You will work across Payroll, HR and IT to validate data, assist SIT/UAT and help ensure a smooth transition into BAU payroll.

The role requires UK payroll knowledge, strong Excel skills, and a collaborative approach. SAP ECC Payroll experience is a plus, with potential for further exposure beyond standard payroll processing.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of UK payroll legislation and processes.
• Strong Excel skills for data validation and reconciliation.
• Experience supporting payroll projects, system changes or implementations.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Payroll Manager throughout the PBIK implementation.
• Assist with requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Document requirements, actions, decisions and process changes.
• Support payroll data validation, reconciliations and analysis.
• Assist with SIT, parallel runs and UAT preparation and execution.
• Validate payroll calculations, outputs and test results.
• Record, track and help resolve testing defects.
• Support project reporting, governance and documentation.
• Assist with training, communications and business readiness.
• Work closely with Payroll, HR, Reward and IT stakeholders.
• Support the transition from project delivery into BAU payroll operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes throughout the implementation.
