Job summary

Ashley Kate HR & Finance are recruiting a Payroll Administrator for a fixed-term contract in Solihull, with hybrid working. The role supports a major payroll project implementing Payroll Benefits in Kind (PBIK) and will partner with payroll and project teams to ensure smooth rollout.

The ideal candidate has payroll administration experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of UK payroll legislation. A proactive communicator who can manage multiple tasks within deadlines is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll administration experience.
• Good understanding of UK payroll legislation.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience supporting payroll projects, system implementations, or business process improvements.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using SAP ECC Payroll.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll project workshops, meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
• Document business requirements, process changes, actions, and key decisions.
• Assist with payroll data analysis, validation, and reconciliations.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), Parallel Runs, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Log, monitor, and track testing defects through to resolution.
• Validate payroll calculations and outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Produce project reports, governance documentation, and progress updates.
• Support training materials, communications, and business readiness activities.
• Assist with the successful transition of project deliverables into BAU processes.
• Work collaboratively with payroll, HR, and project stakeholders throughout the implementation.
