Job summary

Reed is seeking a Payroll Coordinator in Harrogate to manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The role involves data preparation, wage checks, pension duties, payslips and reports, with hybrid working in a central location.

The successful candidate will have payroll experience, strong Excel skills and the ability to handle staff pay queries while meeting deadlines in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience including starters, leavers and statutory pay.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Up-to-date knowledge of PAYE/NIC regulations.
• Experience handling pay-related queries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and input of payroll data
• Minimum wage compliance checks
• Payroll reconciliation
• Pensions administration and auto-enrolment assessments
• Production and distribution of payslips, P45s, and P60s
• Generation and distribution of payroll reports
• Calculation of average holiday pay for variable pay staff
• Maintenance of payroll filing and electronic records
• Handling pay-related queries from staff
• Preparation and distribution of overtime templates
• Maintenance of mileage records for company vehicles
• Monitoring payroll KPIs across group companies
• Submission of payroll statistics to the Office for National Statistics
• Any other duties as assigned by the Assistant Payroll Manager or Group Payroll Manager
