Job summary

Reed in Harrogate is seeking a Payroll Coordinator for a hybrid role. You will manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensure PAYE/NIC compliance, and produce accurate payslips and reports. The role requires strong attention to detail and experience with pension auto‑enrolment.

You will handle payroll data input, reconciliation, and staff pay enquiries while working closely with HR and finance in a busy, forward-thinking environment.

Qualifications

• End to end payroll experience, ideally high volume.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Up-to-date knowledge of PAYE/NIC regulations.
• Experience handling pay-related queries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and input of payroll data
• Minimum wage compliance checks
• Payroll reconciliation
• Pensions administration and auto-enrolment assessments
• Production and distribution of payslips, P45s, and P60s
• Generation and distribution of payroll reports
• Calculation of average holiday pay for variable pay staff
• Maintenance of payroll filing and electronic records
• Handling pay-related queries from staff
• Preparation and distribution of overtime templates
• Maintenance of mileage records for company vehicles
• Monitoring payroll KPIs across group companies
• Submission of payroll statistics to the Office for National Statistics
• Any other duties as assigned by the Assistant Payroll Manager or Group Payroll Manager
