Portfolio Payroll is partnering with a respected accountancy practice in Newcastle as they look to expand their payroll division with the addition of a Payroll Assistant. This is an excellent chance to join a supportive, client-focused team providing payroll services to a broad mix of businesses.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a well-established team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services for a varied client portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing payroll changes and updates with precision
  • Preparing payroll reports and ensuring all submissions are completed on schedule
  • Acting as the first point of contact for client payroll queries via phone and email
  • Overseeing pension administration and ensuring compliance with legislation
  • Liaising with HMRC on payroll-related matters when required
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a payroll role with a solid understanding of bureau
  • Experience within an accountancy practice (desirable)
