Job summary

Barclays’ Barclaycard Payments is seeking a Solutions Consultant on a 12 month secondment/FTC to drive technical qualification, solution design and pre-sales engagement for complex payment acceptance opportunities across Gateway, Acquiring and Fraud solutions.

You will partner with Coverage, Product and client technical teams to understand requirements, design scalable architectures and validate solution fit.

Qualifications

Experience in the Payments sector.
Technical pre-sales, solution consulting, solution engineering or solutions architecture experience.
Understanding of payment gateway architecture and transaction processing.
Experience designing API-based solutions and integrations with external development teams.
Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, authentication frameworks, POS providers and ISVs.

Responsibilities

Lead technical qualification and solution design for payments opportunities.
Conduct discovery sessions and produce solution architecture diagrams.
Identify technical and commercial risks and validate solution fit.
Collaborate with Coverage, Product and client technical teams throughout the lifecycle.
Ensure solutions are scalable, commercially viable and aligned to Barclays capabilities.
