Job summary

Be | Shaping the Future UK is a specialist management consultancy focused on financial services. We are seeking a Payments Management Consultant to join our Cards & Payments team in London, helping clients solve complex business challenges and deliver transformational change.

You will work with banks, payment providers and fintechs, contributing to strategy, implementation and governance across payments ecosystems, while developing industry expertise in cards, acquiring, issuing and open banking.

Qualifications

• Experience in consulting, financial services, fintech or payments organizations.
• Knowledge of cards, acquiring, issuing, merchant payments, open banking, instant payments or alternative payment methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate data into practical recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic, operational and transformation engagements across the payments industry.
• Help clients navigate market change, regulatory developments and emerging industry trends.
• Contribute to the development of commercial, business and product strategies.
• Analyse complex data, market dynamics and customer needs to generate insights and recommendations.
• Support the design and delivery of transformation initiatives across people, process and technology.
• Create high-quality client deliverables, presentations and business cases.
• Participate in workshops, stakeholder meetings and problem-solving sessions.
• Build your knowledge across the payments ecosystem, including cards, account-to-account payments, digital payments and emerging payment technologies.
