Hood Group, a UK-based insurance provider, is hiring a Customer Payments Clerk to join our Finance team. You will support premium collections, refunds processing, and reporting to ensure accurate financial operations.

The role is hybrid, with 1 day on-site at our Southend office. Ideal candidates will have finance or credit control experience, strong Excel skills, and a disciplined, confidential approach.

Qualifications

• Finance or credit control experience is essential.
• Intermediate Excel skills required.
• Accuracy and confidentiality are crucial when handling financial data.
• Disciplined, organised and methodical approach to work.
• Insurance or financial services experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Sirius, ICE, Sage Pay, PTX, Premium Credit Limited, Magenta, Pay360 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process collection files.
• Manage customer refunds.
• Handle broker commissions.
• Act as the first point of contact for finance queries.
• Support credit control activities.
• Assist with month end and internal reporting.
