Job summary

Soprema seeks a dedicated Credit Controller to manage and optimise the company’s credit control function. You will drive timely collection of debts, monitor customer creditworthiness, and work with multiple departments to minimise bad debt and improve working capital.

Reporting to the Finance Director UK, this hybrid role requires in-person training periods and occasional travel to other sites across the UK, with a daily commute to Witham during training.

Qualifications

• Experience in a credit control role is essential.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing customer creditworthiness using financial information and credit reports.
• Implement debt collection strategies to recover debts via phone and email.
• Ensure sales ledger accounts meet agreed credit terms, balancing commercial opportunities with risk.
• Maintain contact with customers to ensure invoices are paid and record actions.
• Liaise with aftercare to resolve disputes quickly to facilitate payment.
• Ensure on-hold accounts and credit-exceedance procedures are followed.
• Produce aged debt reports and monitor DSOs with management.
• Provide cash collection forecasts and receipts analysis.
• Offer insights to improve credit control processes.
• Undertake additional duties as needed by management.
