Job summary

National Highways in the South East region is seeking an Engineer to lead the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes to keep the SRN safe and reliable for customers.

You will work with other professional engineers, coordinate with project teams and third parties, and ensure adherence to asset class strategies, policies, and standards throughout planning and delivery. The role may involve unsociable hours and travel across the region.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in relevant discipline and appropriate experience, or equivalent.
• Membership of professional Body (desirable) or working towards Membership.
• Good knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards and their application.
• Experience in highway infrastructure design, construction and delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes within the SRN.
• Coordinate works across the region with project teams and stakeholders.
• Provide technical support including materials approvals and contractor vetting.
• Assist with on-site inspections and review of Health and Safety Files.
