Job summary

The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Patient Administrator on a 12-month fixed-term contract for 22.5 hours per week.

You will contribute to the smooth running of the patient journey, handle queries, bookings, mail, and health-and-safety compliance, with access to a range of employee benefits.

This part-time role is based at The Duchy Hospital, Harrogate, and requires a flexible shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Maths and English GCSE at grades A-C or equivalent.
• Proficient in the use of a PC and office software/systems.
• Private healthcare administration experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the smooth running of the patient administrative process throughout the patient journey.
• Follow best practice process maps to provide a standard service to patients, visitors, consultants and staff.
• Deal with all patient queries efficiently and professionally.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
• Approve electronic bookings and update bookings received via email.
• Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure appropriate measures are taken.
• Complete mandatory training as required.
