Job summary

Nuffield Health Hereford Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Administrator on a part-time, ad-hoc basis. The role involves managing a large volume of email referrals and appointment bookings, with emphasis on accurate data handling and customer-focused service.

You will operate the switchboard, take payments, and generate reports while coordinating room and consultant availability to support hospital operations.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent
• Experience in a customer-facing environment
• Ability to handle payments and data accurately

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly reception service face to face and on the phone
• Operate the complex switchboard
• Handle queries and escalate when needed
• Admit patients and make appointments
• Process payments and reconcile monies
• Prepare standard and ad-hoc reports
• Coordinate room and consultant availability
• Create or cancel clinics/theatre availability
