Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital is seeking a Receptionist for a permanent part-time role. You will be the friendly face guiding patients, answering calls, booking appointments and directing visitors within the hospital.

The role requires excellent communication, IT and keyboard skills, with experience in healthcare administration or reception preferred. Shift patterns include 0700-1500 and 1300-2100 on weekdays, plus 1 in 4 weekend work.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain information clearly and with empathy.
• Experience in healthcare administration or reception is preferred.
• Strong IT and keyboard skills for data entry and records handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors to the department.
• Answer phone calls, handle enquiries and book appointments.
• Direct patients to waiting and changing areas; support smooth department operations.
• Prepare necessary paperwork and ensure accurate documentation and terms.
