Job summary
BPAS is recruiting a Patient Safety Lead on a 12-month fixed-term basis to support senior managers in embedding the safety strategy, investigating incidents and tracking emerging risk themes. The role is full-time and home-based with Midlands travel, requiring a clinical qualification and substantial patient safety or governance experience.
Applicants must have a professional qualification (RN/RM/ODP) and be eligible to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential.
- Experience with clinical risk management and governance.
- Ability to analyse complex safety data and produce reports.
Responsibilities
- Advise divisional leaders and managers on patient safety.
- Carry out clinical risk reviews and audits against standards.
- Embed safety strategy and promote a fair and just culture.
- Investigate incidents using human factors methods and extract learning.
- Support incident response and provide expert advice to staff.
- Monitor incident themes and perform system analysis of safety.
