Job summary

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Patient Safety Support Officer to assist the Corporate Nursing and Integrated Governance Team. The role focuses on robust incident management, learning from events, and supporting the patient safety framework to ensure high quality governance.

The post holder will coordinate incident reporting, assist with serious incident investigations, and provide admin support across the team.

Qualifications

• Communicate with staff, external clients, patients and families, including confidential information.
• Provide accurate administrative support within set timescales at high presentation standards.
• Develop and maintain efficient office systems and filing.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate incident reporting and management processes.
• Support serious incident investigation processes and patient safety learning.
• Provide general patient safety team support and data quality checks.
• Arrange meetings, take minutes, manage room bookings and follow up actions.
• Assist with external reporting to Learn from Patient Safety Events (LFPSE).
• Respond to staff queries, escalate or delegate as appropriate.
