Job summary

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital is seeking a Receptionist on a bank, part-time basis. You’ll be the first point of contact, managing inquiries, directing patients, booking appointments and supporting the department to run smoothly.

You’ll need excellent communication, IT and keyboard skills, with experience in healthcare administration or reception preferred. This role is ad-hoc to fit the bank shift pattern and available hours.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• Experience in healthcare administration or reception preferred.
• Able to explain sensitive information clearly and empathetically.

Responsibilities

• Help people feel comfortable when they visit the department.
• Use empathy and customer service to build positive relationships.
• Answer the phone, handle enquiries and book appointments.
• Welcome patients in person and direct them to changing or waiting areas.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure the department runs smoothly.
• Prepare clinical paperwork, referral forms, charge sheets and terms and conditions.
