Job description

An opportunity has become available to join the Royal Derby Hospital's Emergency Department as a Patient Process Administrator.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team for the Adult and Children's Emergency Department providing a comprehensive front‑line receptionist/administrative service, booking patients and answering enquiries from patients, relatives and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Process patient details to create and maintain the patient's record while they are within the Emergency Department.
  • Assist with mentoring of new PPAs to the department.
  • Work a 24‑hour shift rotation, rotating between the four areas within the department, in a busy clinical environment.
