Job summary

Welbeck seeks a Patient Pathway Administrator in our Heart & Lung Health Department to coordinate the end-to-end patient journey, ensuring appointments, diagnostics and admissions are managed accurately within a private healthcare setting.

You will be the primary point of contact for patients, consultants, GPs and insurers, maintaining confidential electronic records and delivering a high-quality, personalised service at every touchpoint.

Qualifications

• Experience in a patient-facing or high-quality customer service environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the full patient pathway, including booking consultations, diagnostics and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records.
• Act as a first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and timely responses to queries.
• Liaise with consultants, clinical teams, PAs and external referrers to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Support day-to-day operational processes to deliver a smooth patient journey.
• Assist with financial administration including payments, quotes, invoicing and PMI/self-pay processes.
• Uphold governance, quality and safeguarding standards and report accurately.
