Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Clerk for Gosfield Acute Frailty Unit in Chelmsford. The role focuses on patient information, appointment coordination, and frontline reception duties within a busy NHS environment.

You will support clinical teams, maintain systems, and ensure efficient patient pathways while upholding confidentiality and Trust policies. The post is Band 2, full/part-time, with a pro rata salary and a closing date in October 2026.

Formación

• Good general education (GCSEs) including English and Maths.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of confidentiality and data handling.
• Experience in administrative or customer-facing roles.
• Experience in healthcare/hospital environment preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain accurate patient information across Careflow, Lorenzo and Teletracking.
• Manage clinic and ward activity and support clinical staff.
• Be the first point of contact for patients and visitors and handle enquiries.
• Coordinate appointments and referrals; ensure timely bookings.
• Maintain stock levels and assist with transport coordination when needed.
• Ensure data quality and comply with Trust policies.
