Job summary

NHS Scotland's Edinburgh Flow and Discharge Hub at Astley Ainslie Hospital is seeking a confident, well-organised Patient Flow Coordinator to support safe patient flow and discharge.

You will work in a small team of seven, handle administrative duties, extract data for timely reporting, and collaborate with across wards to ensure beds are allocated efficiently. Full training provided; 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data handling.
• Ability to extract and summarise data for time-sensitive reporting.
• Strong communication skills with colleagues across services.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients suitable for discharge pathways.
• Apply delayed discharge coding.
• Support efficient allocation of beds within EHSCP.
• Deliver administrative duties to support daily operations.
• Extract and summarise data for time-sensitive statistical reporting.
• Communicate with a range of colleagues and services.
