Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Data Quality Administrator to support high-quality patient data across Trust systems. You will identify data quality issues, collaborate to implement root-cause solutions, and develop SOPs with services.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of Cerner EPR and NHS data handling, with emphasis on governance, GDPR and Caldicott compliance. An opportunity to contribute to data quality improvements and staff training is included.

Qualifications

• Record high-quality data on patient-based systems.
• Identify data quality issues using tools and root-cause analysis.
• Develop solutions such as standard operating procedures with services.
• Monitor performance and report improvements until targets met.
• Ensure knowledge of national policy, data management, and patient data handling.
• Develop knowledge of Cerner EPR and its functionality.
• Adhere to GDPR and Caldicott guidelines.

Responsibilities

• To support the recording of high-quality data on the Trust's patient-based systems.
• To use systems to identify data quality issues on the Trust's patient-based systems using a variety of tools and in collaboration with the services identify the root causes of the issues.
• To work with the services to develop solutions to the issues e.g. development of standard operating procedures.
• Monitor and report on performance and improvements until the data quality levels required are sustainably achieved.
• Be an expert in all aspects of data quality and patient data management ensuring knowledge and adherence to all relevant national policy and procedures.
• Develop and sustain an in-depth knowledge of the use of Cerner, the Trust’s EPR system, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of functionality and use.
