Job summary

Taurus Healthcare is seeking a Medical Receptionist / Care Navigator to join Much Birch Surgery, a busy GP practice. You will deliver a welcoming reception, manage appointments, registrations and enquiries, and support the administration team while prioritising patient confidentiality and high-quality care.

Working at a rural, community-focused practice, you will be part of a collaborative team with opportunities to contribute to improving patient services.

Qualifications

• GCSE level education including English.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in reception/administrative duties is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing appropriate services in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Provide general assistance to the practice team and maintain a positive image to patients and visitors.
• Be flexible to cover colleagues’ absences beyond normal hours.
• Have thorough knowledge of practice procedures and follow written protocols.
• Manage bookings, registrations, mail, and electronic messages with confidentiality.
