Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Patient Care Advisor to join the Booking Centre. This Band 3, 30-hours-per-week role focuses on arranging timely appointments and maintaining patient confidentiality while delivering high-quality NHS care.

The post offers a fixed term contract to end March 2027, with a pro rata salary of £25,760–£27,476 per annum. Secondment opportunities may be considered, and relocation support is available where eligible.

Qualifications

• NB GCSEs A-C or equivalent.
• Experience with NHS administration and booking processes.
• Familiarity with patient appointment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with patients across multiple pathways.
• Ensure timely and effective appointment scheduling.
• Keep accurate activity records against targets.
• Call patients to confirm appointments while maintaining confidentiality.
• Accommodate patient date/time preferences as possible.
• Handle patient enquiries effectively.
• Ensure enquiries with actions are dealt with promptly.
• Keep patient records up to date.
• Check referrals are not duplicated and cleanse waiting lists.
